As we prepare for the introduction of the Revised Roman Missal on the first Sunday of Advent 2011 and, in the intererest of uniformity throughout the diocese, the following will apply:

From the First Sunday of Advent, 27^th November 2011, following the norms laid down in paragraph 43 of the General Instruction to the Roman Missal, the Congregation:

 

1. Stand for the opening procession until the end of the Opening Prayer (the Collect);
2. Sit for the first reading, the Responsorial Psalm (and the second reading);
3. Stand for the Gospel Acclamation and the reading of the Gospel;
4. Sit for the homily;
5. Stand for the Creed and the Prayer of the Faithful;
6. Sit for the Preparation of the Gifts;
7. Stand from Pray, brothers and sisters…. until the end of the Holy, Holy;
8. Kneel for the Eucharistic Prayer;
9. Stand for the Our Father until after Lamb of God…;
10. Stand for the Prayer after Communion until leaving the church.
