Eucharistic Congress Hour of Prayer on this Sunday 6th in Rooskey Church 7pm – 8pm.
The Eucharistic Congress is only seven months away. To encourage & support the effort of prayer & preparation for this great event a meeting of delegates, three to four people from each parish across the diocese, will be held in the Pastoral Centre, Charlestown, Thursday 17th Nov. 8pm. The meeting will focus on the programmme for Congress week, 10-17 June, local plans & proposals leading up to Congress & information about bookings & travel
The Eucharistic Congress organisers are looking for one to two volunteers from each parish in the country to help for 5 consecutive days from 6th – 19th June, 2012. The organisers are looking for people with medical skills, I.T Skills, translators, interpreters, drivers, manual labourers, meeters & greeters. All volunteers must be Garda vetted. Commemoration of the Faithful Departed: Many thanks to Kate Roberts for providing crosses on which the names of our faithful departed can be written & put on board to be remembered during November. Please feel free to include a cross for loved ones now deceased.

Mass for Bereaved Parents: On Sunday afternoon the 13th of Nov. there will be a special afternoon Mass of Remembrance in Knock for parents who have lost a child. The celebrant will be Fr. Colm Kilcoyne, Castlebar & it will be held in St. John's Rest & Care Centre, starting at 3pm. All bereaved parents welcome.

Western Care Association: Two one-act plays will be presented in the Town Hall Theatre, Kiltimagh on Thurs. Nov. 10th, commencing at 8.30pm. Phoenix Players, Tubbercurry will perform a one act drama by Padraic Neary & Cloonacool Players Drama Group who will perform an hilarious comedy, GEORGE, by Derek Hickman.
